RAM

RAM is a vehicle make rather than a supplier brand. This archive collects the drivetrain units we stock for RAM trucks, and it is weighted heavily toward transfer cases and heavy-duty manual transmissions, which are the parts that wear out on working trucks. Because these trucks were previously sold under the Dodge name, the Dodge and Chrysler archives are worth checking as well.

What is stocked under RAM

Transfer cases are the largest group and include the NP241, NP271, NP273, BW4446 and BW4447 units used across 1500, 2500 and 3500 trucks, in manual-shift and electric-shift versions and with rear slip yoke or bolt yoke as the application requires. Manual transmissions include the NV3500, the NV4500 and the NV273. Differentials cover the Chrysler C205F front axle among others. Remanufactured engines include the 5.7L HEMI in its EZC and EZH variants for 1500 applications.

Ordering the right unit

Heavy-duty RAM transfer cases are specified in unusual detail and the listings reflect it. The BW4447, for example, is listed separately for cab-chassis trucks and for standard 2500/3500 trucks, and separately again for rear slip yoke and rear bolt yoke, with and without the AISIN transmission. Read those details against your truck. Order with the VIN and the tag number from the transfer case you are removing, and confirm which transmission sits in front of it, because that determines the input spline and adapter.

A 6-month limited warranty applies as standard. On qualifying remanufactured units, a 7-year / 1,000,000-mile extended warranty and a core-fee waiver are available on request, so ask before you order.
