This category lists remanufactured 2.5L engines under Engines. It is a mixed group, not one family: Nissan and Infiniti QR25DE four cylinders make up most of it, alongside a Lexus 4GRFSE V6, a Ford SVT V6, a Suzuki Verona L6, two Volkswagen units and three further Ford and Mercury listings.

What fits what

The QR25DE listings are split by year and drive type: 2005-2006 FWD, 2005-2006 AWD, 2007-2010 FWD and 2014-2017. Ford and Mercury coverage is a 2012 Ford Fusion 12/11-7/12 Only unit, a 2009-2012 Ford Escape Hybrid, a 2001-2002 Mercury Cougar HO and a Ford SVT V6 listed for 1997. Volkswagen coverage is a 2005-2011 Jetta, Golf, Beetle and Rabbit 5-Cyl and a 2011-2014 Jetta, Golf, Beetle and Passat. There is also a 2004-2006 Suzuki Verona L6 and the Lexus.

Some titles show a bare five digit number where a year range should be: 38930, 41553, 42042 and 42221. That is a fault in the source data, not a part number. Call before ordering one of those.

How to identify yours

Work from the casting and the vendor SKU rather than the title. Block castings listed here include QR25DE, 6N2, 8H7, JA0, 3KY and 4GR, with one entered as AU7 followed by a question mark. Head casting 8h3vtc and crank castings AE0, JA0 and 3TA appear on individual listings. Casting location is given as PASSENGER SIDE (RIGHT) on several Nissan units and PASS SIDE BELL HOUSING on the Lexus. Vendor SKUs are 347, 347B, 347D, 347E, 347F, 347G and 347K on the Nissan units, 859 on the Lexus and DFYJ on the Ford SVT.

Build notes separate otherwise similar engines. The 2007-2010 FWD unit is listed with H.O. Cams and for manual transmission. The 2014-2017 unit is listed with VVT and a supercharger type not included, and its fuel type is given as Gasoline Hybrid Electric.

Remanufactured engines carry a 6-month limited warranty as standard. A 7-year / 1,000,000-mile extended warranty and a core fee waiver are available on request for qualifying remanufactured units, must be arranged at the time of purchase, and are not automatic.
