Interior

The Interior category covers cabin fitments listed outside the main seat range. At present it holds the Recaro Classic Pole Position (ABE) seat in four trims: black leather, and black leather paired with Pepita, Classic Corduroy or Classic Checkered fabric. These are new seats, aimed at restoration and period-correct builds where the Classic upholstery patterns matter as much as the shell itself.

How to choose

The Classic Pole Position is a fixed-back shell seat, so the choice between the four listings is one of trim rather than function. All four share the same shell and the same mounting requirements. Pick the fabric that suits the car’s interior, and be aware that fixed-back shells do not recline and do not fold forward, which affects rear-seat access in a two-door. Fit is the part to check carefully. The seat requires a vehicle-specific base frame and side mounts, and neither is included, so confirm those part numbers for your exact model and year before ordering. Check headroom and seat height in the car, particularly if you run a helmet. The ABE designation is a German type-approval marking carried by the seat; it does not remove your responsibility to check road-legality where you are.

Ordering and shipping

Seats are priced and listed individually. Mounting hardware, harnesses and belts are separate items. Shipping is boxed by courier or freight depending on quantity, so inspect the carton before signing. A 6-month limited warranty applies as standard, and the extended warranty offered on qualifying remanufactured drivetrain units does not apply to seats.
