Brand New Seats

This category is the brand-new Recaro seat range: Sportster CS and Sportster GT road seats, Cross Sportster CS for off-road and overland use, SR-6 and SR-7 sport seats in Glass Mesh and Kamui trims, and Pole Position shell seats. These are new seats bought as new stock, not used and not reupholstered. Buyers range from daily-driver owners replacing a worn or unsupportive factory seat to track and rally builds that need a fixed-back shell.

How to choose

Start with how the car is used. Reclining seats with a fold-forward mechanism keep rear-seat access and long-distance comfort, and are the right choice for a road car. Fixed-back shells save weight and hold you in place under load, but they do not recline and are harder to live with daily. Heated variants are listed separately where offered, so check the title, because heated and unheated versions of the same seat are different items. Then check fit twice over. First, the seat has to fit you, since shoulder and hip width vary between models and a seat that is too narrow or too wide will be uncomfortable regardless of quality. Second, the seat has to fit the car. Recaro seats are not bolt-in: they need a vehicle-specific base frame or subframe plus side mounts or sliders, and none of that is included with the seat. Confirm those part numbers for your exact model and year before ordering. Check seat height and headroom, especially with a sunroof or a helmet, and check whether your car’s side airbag, seat-belt reminder and occupancy sensor wiring can be carried over.

Ordering, shipping and what is included

Seats are listed and priced individually, so order two if you are replacing a pair, and note that trim and color form part of the product title. Base frames, side mounts, sliders and harnesses are not included. Seats ship boxed by courier or freight depending on quantity, so check the carton for damage before signing. New seats carry a 6-month limited warranty as standard. The 7-year / 1,000,000-mile extended warranty and core-fee waiver available on request apply only to qualifying remanufactured drivetrain units and do not cover seats.
