How to identify yours

The gear ratios in this category are 3.31, 3.73 and 4.10, and the ring gear diameter is 9.75 on every listing, so the ratio alone will not always get you to the right part. Use the vendor SKU. The RAA440-1383 group covers the 2003-2005 Expedition carriers: 1383A and 1383D are 3.31, 1383B and 1383C are 3.73, and the -P versions of each are the posi limited slip units. RAA440-135A is the 3.31 and RAA440-135B the 3.73 for 2007-2010, again with -P posi versions. RAA440-1534C and RAA440-1534C-P are the 2015-2017 Expedition and Navigator 3.73 units. Across this category a -P suffix is the posi version and the plain SKU is open.

Two things to watch. Several 2005 Expedition 3.31 listings are separated only by their vendor SKU, so quote the SKU rather than the year when you call. And the titles read IFS while the application notes on the 2015-2017 Navigator and Expedition listings read IRS. We list those as the supplier supplies them and do not change them, so confirm the part by SKU and ratio rather than by that abbreviation.
