What fits what

Coverage runs 1993 through 2024. Honda and Acura listings cover K20A2 and K20Z1 for the 2002-2006 RSX, K20A3 and K20Z3 for 2002-2011 Civic and Acura CSX, and B20Z2 for the 1999-2001 CR-V. Ford listings cover the 2012 Focus, 2012-2014 Explorer and Edge, 2013-2020 Fusion and Lincoln MKZ, 2015-2018 Focus, and the EcoBoost 2.0L through 2018. GM listings cover the supercharged LSJ in the 2004 Saturn Ion, the 2005-2007 Cobalt and Ion, the 2007-2010 Cobalt, HHR, Solstice and Sky, and the 2010-2016 Buick Regal and Verano. Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep listings cover the 2010-2015 Caliber, Compass and Patriot, the 2013-2016 Dart, and the 2023-2024 Compass and Hornet 2.0 turbo. Nissan MR20DE covers 2007-2019 applications including the NV200 cargo and taxi vans. Volkswagen listings cover the 1993-1995 and 2011-2015 Jetta and Golf and the 2009-2010 Jetta diesel. There is also a Toyota 1AZFE and a 2010-2012 Suzuki SX4 J20B.

How to identify yours

The turbo and non-turbo versions of the same displacement are not interchangeable, so start there. On Honda and Acura, the K20 sub-code is stamped on the bell housing – our listings quote “left bell housing stamped K20Z3” and “left side bell housing stamped K20A3” – with block castings RRA and PNC. On Ford, match the block casting AG9E-6015-AB or CM5E-6015-CA with crank castings 3DA50900/B43VA and 1S7G-CF. On Nissan the block reads MR20, EM5 or EN2; on Toyota it reads 1AZ. On Volkswagen, be certain whether yours is gasoline or the TDI diesel, and check the engine letter code on the block. All of these are aluminum-block engines in the later applications, and most are 16-valve DOHC.

Exchange units – a refundable core charge may apply and your old engine returns as the core. Every engine carries a 6-month limited warranty as standard. For qualifying remanufactured units a 7-year / 1,000,000-mile extended warranty and a core fee waiver are available on request and must be arranged at the time of purchase; they are not automatic.
