AX15

What fits what

Jeep coverage is the 1987-1991 Cherokee, the 1994-2000 Cherokee, the 1989-1991 Wrangler, two 1992-1993 Wrangler listings separated by stock number, the 1994-1995 Wrangler and the 1997-1999 Wrangler. Dodge coverage is the 1992-1993 Dakota and the 1994-1999 Dakota 3.9L. Four further listings are titled by specification rather than by vehicle: 2WD units with 14 spline input and 27 spline output, 14 spline input and 26 spline output, and 10 spline input with 27 spline output.

How to identify yours

Pilot tip diameter is the first check on the Jeep units. The 1987-1991 Cherokee and the 1989-1991 Wrangler are listed with a 0.59 inch pilot tip. The 1992-1993, 1994-1995 and 1997-1999 Wrangler units and the 1994-2000 Cherokee are listed with a 0.75 inch pilot tip. Next check the slave cylinder: the 1987-1991 Cherokee, the 1989-1991 Wrangler and both 1992-1993 Wrangler units are internal slave cylinder, while the 1994-1995 Wrangler, 1997-1999 Wrangler and 1994-2000 Cherokee are external.

On the 2WD units the splines separate them: 14 spline input with 27 spline mainshaft without speedometer, ID 52107756, Hollander 400-03237; 14 spline input with 27 spline mainshaft with speedometer, ID 52108532, Hollander 400-03002; 14 spline input with 26 spline mainshaft with speedometer, ID 52108465, Hollander 400-02833; and 10 spline input with 27 spline mainshaft with speedometer, ID 52107811, Hollander 400-03003.

Otherwise match the ID stamped on your case. IDs here include 53009530, 53005385, 53007863, 52108118AB and, on the 1994-1999 Dakota 3.9L, 52108036, 52107812 and 52107757. The two 1992-1993 Wrangler listings share Hollander 400-02456 and are told apart by stock number, 12378T and 12379T.

Core charge and warranty

These are exchange units, so a refundable core charge may apply. We do not publish a core amount, so call for it. Remanufactured units carry a 6-month limited warranty. A 7-year / 1,000,000-mile extended warranty and a core fee waiver are available on request for qualifying remanufactured units, must be arranged at the time of purchase, and are not automatic.
