How to identify yours

Input spline count is either 21 or 23 in this group, and the exposed input length separates the 23 spline units: 0.75 inch, 0.84 inch or 2.5 inch. Rear output is a 27 or 32 spline slip yoke, or a 27 or 32 exposed spline shaft with a rubber boot. The front output yoke is either bolt on or cup style. After that, check the tail housing, which is listed as one piece or two piece, and the speedo hole, which is either 1.75 inch or absent.

The shift indicator switch is the other split. Listings here name a 2 pin, 2 prong, 4 pin, 4 prong, 2 position or 5 position switch, and two of them give a hex size on the switch of 0.875 inch or 1.5 inch. One unit uses a vacuum indicator switch in the speedo housing. Several listings also name the system, either Select-Trac, Command Trac with option code DHE, or Select Trac with option code DHP.
