What is stocked under Honda

Remanufactured engines dominate the archive: the J-series 3.5L V6 in J35Z3/6, J35Z5, J35Z8/A7 and J35A6 variants, 2.4L and 2.3L four-cylinders, the 2.2L, the R18A1 1.8L, the D16Y8 1.6L and 1.5L units, with year ranges stated on each listing. Several cover Acura applications as well as Honda. A small number of manual transmissions are also listed. The gas-engine air compressors carrying a Honda motor sit in the shop equipment side of the store and are 30-gallon units intended for sites without a suitable electrical supply.

Ordering the right engine

Honda engine codes are the whole story here. The J35 family alone runs across several codes built to different specifications, and the listings name the code for that reason, because a J35Z5 is not interchangeable with a J35A6. Order by the engine code stamped on the block together with the VIN, rather than by model year. Confirm whether your application is front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and whether the engine is supplied as a long block or a more complete assembly, since that changes what you need to transfer over.

Warranty

A 6-month limited warranty applies as standard. On qualifying remanufactured engines, a 7-year / 1,000,000-mile extended warranty and a core-fee waiver are available on request, so ask before you order.
