Four Post Bridge Jacks

Rolling bridge jacks turn a four-post lift into a wheels-free service lift. They sit on the lift’s runways or rails, roll to the axle, and raise the vehicle off the runways so wheels, brakes and suspension components can come off. Capacities here run from 3,500 lb up to 25,000 lb, covering everything from a home four-post to a heavy truck lift. BendPak, Atlas, Challenger, Tuxedo and iDEAL are stocked, in air-over-hydraulic and hydraulic versions, and in sliding, rolling and on-the-rail designs.

How to choose

Compatibility comes first, and it is not universal. A bridge jack has to match the runway width, rail type and mounting style of your specific four-post lift. On-the-rail, sliding and rolling designs are not interchangeable, and a jack sized for one manufacturer’s runway spacing will not sit correctly on another’s. Check the model your lift maker specifies, or send us your lift model and we will check it for you. Capacity should be rated for the axle load you are lifting rather than the whole vehicle, but leave margin. Most bridge jacks are air-over-hydraulic and need shop air, so confirm you have a compressor and an air line reaching the lift, and check the required pressure and flow. Low-mount and high-mount variants exist to suit different rail heights. Adapter and extension kits are needed for tall trucks and for low-clearance sports cars, so check the pad height range against the vehicles you actually service.

Installation, freight and what is included

Bridge jacks ship crated by freight and are heavy enough to need two people or equipment to place onto the lift. Installation is normally a matter of setting the jack on the rails and connecting shop air, but follow the manufacturer’s instructions for your lift model. Adapters, pads and extensions are separate listings unless a bundle is stated in the title. New equipment carries a 6-month limited warranty as standard; the extended warranty offered on qualifying remanufactured drivetrain units does not apply to bridge jacks. Call 440-374-1039 with your four-post lift make and model and we will confirm which jack fits it before you order.
