GMC

GMC is a vehicle make rather than a supplier brand. This archive collects the drivetrain units we stock for GMC trucks and SUVs: transfer cases, differentials and manual transmissions. Because GMC shares almost all of its hardware with Chevrolet, the Chevrolet and GM archives carry the same units under those badges and are worth checking if what you need is not listed here.

What is stocked under GMC

Transfer cases include the MP1626 units used in 2011-2019 Sierra 2500/3500 trucks with 6.0L gas and 6.6L Duramax diesel engines, the MP3024 used in 2008-2013 Sierra, Silverado, Suburban and Yukon XL 2500 applications, and NP233, NP236 and NP241 units, listed both with and without a shift motor. Manual transmissions include the NV3500, the NV1500 and the AR5. Differentials cover the GM 7.25 and GM 8.25 axles.

Ordering the right unit

Order with the VIN and, where you have it, the RPO code list from the glovebox label. For a transfer case, check the tag number on the unit you are removing and confirm whether it is manual shift or electric shift and whether a shift motor is required, because the same case number appears in both forms and this is the detail most often ordered wrong. For a differential, confirm the axle ratio and whether the unit is open or locking. Engine and drive configuration matter on the heavy-duty trucks, since the 6.0L gas and 6.6L diesel applications take different units in the same model years.

A 6-month limited warranty applies as standard. On qualifying remanufactured units, a 7-year / 1,000,000-mile extended warranty and a core-fee waiver are available on request, so ask before you order.
