Product details

No pin switch hole on this one. The application notes specify a cast iron axle tube without it, plus a round axle flange, on a 1997-1999 GMC 1500 application. The ratio is 3.73 under option GT4, the ring gear is the GM 8.25 inch, and the axle is marked IFS. Vendor SKU RAA440-1444D is how it is ordered. If your housing does have a switch hole, this is not the carrier for it, so check the tube before you commit.

  • New Components – All seals and bearings are replaced, and gears are reset for correct rolling torque for maximum efficiency and performance. Backlash is reset carefully for maximum longevity and quiet operation.
  • Validation – After reassembly, each unit is spin tested as part of a detailed checklist validation process.
Every differential and axle assembly carries a 6-month limited warranty as standard. A 7-year / 1,000,000-mile extended warranty and a core-fee waiver are available on request for qualifying remanufactured units — ask us before you order and we will confirm eligibility.
