This is the 2.2L bracket of our remanufactured engine catalogue, under Engines. Eleven engines are listed and every one is a four cylinder L block with 16 valves.

What fits what

The Honda F series covers an F22B1 for 1996-1997, an F22B2 listed for Honda and Isuzu for 1996-1997, a 1994-1995 Honda Accord F22B2, a 1992-1993 Honda Accord F22A and a 2006-2009 Honda S2000 F22C1. The Honda H series covers an H22A4 for 1997, an H22A4 for 1997-2001, an H22A1 for 1996 and an H22A1 for 1994-1995. On the GM side there are two Chevy LAP Ecotec engines, one for 2009-2011 and one for 2009-2010.

How to identify yours

The two Ecotec listings look identical by year and displacement: the 2009-2011 engine, vendor SKU DCEK, is noted as Dual VVT with no SMOG, and the 2009-2010 engine, vendor SKU DCEM, is noted as Dual VVT with SMOG. Order by SKU, not by year.

All four H series engines are DOHC. The 1997 H22A4 is vendor SKU 534B, block casting H22A4 or P5P, head casting p13-HF-1, crank casting P0F, cast on the driver side at number 3 in the case. The 1997-2001 H22A4 is vendor SKU 534D, block casting H22A4 or P5M, head casting p5m, crank casting P0F or P5M, cast on the driver side at number 3 in the crank case. The 1996 H22A1 is vendor SKU 534C with head casting P13, and the 1994-1995 H22A1 is vendor SKU 534A with head casting P13HF-1; both carry block casting H22A1 or P13 with crank casting P0F, cast on the driver side at number 1 bottom.

The two 1996-1997 F series engines cast on the passenger side and are both SOHC: the F22B1 is vendor SKU 525D, block casting F22B1, PT0 or P0A; the Honda Isuzu F22B2 is vendor SKU 525E, block casting F22B2, F22B6, PT0 or P0A.

Core charge and warranty

These are exchange units, so a refundable core charge may apply. We do not publish a core amount, so call for it. Remanufactured units carry a 6-month limited warranty. A 7-year / 1,000,000-mile extended warranty and a core fee waiver are available on request for qualifying remanufactured units, must be arranged at the time of purchase, and are not automatic.
