Mercury covers two unrelated things on this site, so check which you are looking at. Most Mercury listings are automotive: two remanufactured engines and five remanufactured transfer cases and power transfer units shared with Ford. The rest are used Mercury outboards. Ten items are listed in total.

What we stock

The Ford Mazda Mercury 4.0L V6 Remanufactured Engine for 2007-2011, vendor SKU DFKH, is recorded as a 6 cylinder V block, SOHC, 12 valves, with the note No Balance Shafts, block casting 1L2E or 5L2E and head casting 6L2E or 8L2E. The other is the 2001-2002 Mercury Cougar HO 2.5L Remanufactured Engine.

The BW4412 for 2006-2010 Ford Explorer and Mercury Mountaineer, SKU RTC4412F-2M, includes a new shift motor; see the BW4412 category. A 1996-1998 Ford and Mercury unit, SKU RTC4405F-3M, is worth a call before ordering: its title reads BW4405 while the model number field in its own data reads BW1356, so identify it by tag number or Hollander 412-202A. There is a power transfer unit for the Ford Escape, Mercury Mariner and Mazda Tribute, SKU RTC461, assembly ID 3L84-7251AA. There is a power transfer unit for 2010-2012 Ford and Mercury with IDs in the 9E53-9251 and 9E5Z-7251 series. And there is a power transfer unit for 2007-2009 all and 2010-2012 3.5L Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan, tag numbers in the 7E53-7251 series, Hollander 412-594.

Three used outboards, listed under Used Outboards. A 300hp Mercury V8 Verado 4 stroke, 2020 model, XL or XXL shaft, listed with a full brand new rig kit included with power steering. A 200hp Verado 4 stroke, extra long XL 25 inch shaft, fly by wire digital throttle shift remotes, 2012. And a 115hp Mercury Optimax, XL shaft, 2-stroke, direct injection, remote control, PTT.

Buying and support

The engines and drivetrain units are remanufactured exchange units. A refundable core charge may apply and no core amount is published, so call for it. They carry a 6-month limited warranty, and a 7-year / 1,000,000-mile extended warranty and a core fee waiver are available on request for qualifying remanufactured units, must be arranged at the time of purchase, and are not automatic.
