How to identify yours

The Explorer and Mountaineer cases are listed with a Cup Style Front Output Yoke and a Flat Flange Style Rear Output Yoke. The Sport Trac cases are listed with Cup Style Front And Rear Output Yokes. The 4.6L single speed AWD case is the only one listed with a 31 Spline Input.

Then the Hollander number. The 4.0L two speed Explorer and Mountaineer case is 412-164 and 412-681, other number UMT429-7. The 4.6L two speed is 412-489, 412-502, 412-641, 412-682, 412-701 and 412-721, UMT429-8. The 4.6L single speed AWD is 412-642, 412-683 and 412-722, UMT429-11. The 2006 4.0L single speed is 412-378 and 412-475. The 2007-2010 Sport Trac is 412-643, 412-644, 412-679 and 412-723, UMT429-9. The 2008-2010 Sport Trac is 412-680, 412-684 and 412-724, UMT429-10.
