NV3550

The NV3550 is a 5 speed manual transmission, and this category lists five remanufactured NV3550 units, all for Jeep. Every listing describes the same basic build: aluminum case with an integral bell housing. They are remanufactured exchange units. The category sits under Transmissions and each unit is also listed under Manual.

What fits what

Five applications are covered, read off the titles. There is a unit for 2002-2004 Jeep Liberty 4×4 and a separate unit for 2002-2004 Jeep Liberty 2WD. There is one unit for 2000-2004 Jeep Wrangler. For the Cherokee there are two, split by drive type: 2000-2001 Jeep Cherokee 2WD and 2000-2001 Jeep Cherokee 4×4. All five are 5 speed. Because the Liberty and Cherokee units are split 2WD against 4×4 and the part numbers differ between them, the drive type matters as much as the year.

How to identify yours

Each unit carries its own identifiers, so match those rather than the model name. The 2002-2004 Liberty 4×4 lists tag numbers 52104817AB, 52104817AD and 52104817AE with Hollander number 400-03933. The 2002-2004 Liberty 2WD lists tag numbers 52104818AB, 52104818AD and 52104818AE with Hollander number 400-03932. The 2000-2004 Wrangler lists ID 52104388AA, 52104388AC and 52104678AA with Hollander number 400-03604. The 2000-2001 Cherokee 2WD lists ID 52104386AA with Hollander number 400-03599, and the 2000-2001 Cherokee 4×4 lists ID 52104385AA with Hollander number 400-03600. Note how close the Liberty and Cherokee numbers run to each other. Read every character before you order.

Core charge and warranty

Remanufactured drivetrain units carry a 6-month limited warranty. A 7-year / 1,000,000-mile extended warranty and a core fee waiver are available on request for qualifying remanufactured units, must be arranged at the time of purchase, and are not automatic. These are exchange units, so a refundable core charge may apply. No core amount is published, so call for it. See the remanufacturing process and the warranty page. Payment is by bank transfer or check. Call 216-250-6666 or email sales@varietyengines.com with your tag number.
