NP244

Four remanufactured NP244 transfer cases are listed here: 2005-2006 and 2004-2009 Chrysler units supplied with a new shift motor, and 2001-2004 and 2004-2009 Dodge Dakota and Durango units where the shift motor is not included.

How to identify yours

All four are electric shift with a 23 spline input, 0.84 inch exposed length, a 32 spline rear output shaft and no speedo hole. The two things that separate them are the front output yoke and the shift shaft. The 2005-2006 Chrysler and the 2001-2004 Dakota and Durango units use a cup style front output yoke, Hollander 412-549 and 412-447; the 2004-2009 units use a slip style front output yoke, Hollander 412-547. Three listings note a star shaped shift shaft and the 2001-2004 unit notes a round shaft with two flat spots. Tag numbers on these begin 521 or 528.
