BW4446

The BW4446 is a transfer case, and this category lists five remanufactured BW4446 units, all for RAM trucks. Every one is an electric shift unit, and the application notes on all five say the same thing: Electric Shift. They are remanufactured exchange units and they sit under Transfer Cases. What separates the five listings is the year range, whether the truck is a cab chassis, whether it has the AISIN transmission, and the style of the rear output yoke.

What fits what

Read off the titles, the five are: 2013-2018 RAM 2500-3500 without AISIN trans, rear slip yoke; 2012-2013 RAM 3500 Cab Chassis, rear bolt yoke; 2013-2018 RAM 3500 Cab Chassis with AISIN trans, rear slip yoke; 2013-2018 RAM 3500 Cab Chassis without AISIN trans, rear bolt yoke; and 2012-2013 RAM 2500 and 3500, rear slip yoke. Three of the five are cab chassis specific. Two of the 2013-2018 cab chassis units differ only by AISIN transmission and yoke style, so those two details decide which one you need.

How to identify yours

Use the vendor SKU to keep the five apart. RTC4446D-1 is the 2012-2013 RAM 2500 and 3500 slip yoke unit, RTC4446D-2 is the 2012-2013 RAM 3500 Cab Chassis bolt yoke unit, RTC4446D-4 is the 2013-2018 RAM 2500-3500 without AISIN, RTC4446D-5 is the 2013-2018 RAM 3500 Cab Chassis without AISIN with bolt yoke, and RTC4446D-6 is the 2013-2018 RAM 3500 Cab Chassis with AISIN and slip yoke. Before you order, confirm two things on your own truck: whether the rear output is a slip yoke or a bolt yoke, and which transmission is in it.

Core charge and warranty

Remanufactured drivetrain units carry a 6-month limited warranty. A 7-year / 1,000,000-mile extended warranty and a core fee waiver are available on request for qualifying remanufactured units, must be arranged at the time of purchase, and are not automatic.
