Transmission Fluid Exchangers

Transmission fluid exchangers replace ATF through the cooler lines or the dipstick tube instead of a drain and refill. This category lists seven new machines under Shop Equipment, from Flo-Dynamics, Mahle and Robinair. The titles state the connection method, which is the main thing that separates them.

How to choose

Start with how you want to connect. Four machines come from Flo-Dynamics. The TS410 is an ATF inline exchanger. The PROMAX40 is a heavy duty ATF inline exchanger. The TSD450LCD and the TSD650LCD are both ATF inline and dipstick exchangers, and the TSD450LCD listing adds chemical injection. If your work is a mix of inline service and dipstick service, the TSD units cover both.

From Mahle, the FluidPRO ATX 280 is a transmission fluid exchange system supplied with adapters, and the FluidPRO ATX-3 and Boost is a transmission fluid exchange system as well. The ATX-3 and Boost is the lowest priced machine in the category and the Robinair 92500 transmission fluid exchanger is the highest.

Adapters matter on this kind of equipment. The ATX 280 listing states that adapters are included; the others do not say so, and we do not publish adapter lists, tank sizes or power requirements for these models. Do not assume coverage of a particular vehicle line. Confirm the fittings you need with the manufacturer’s spec sheet for that exact model, or call and we will check the listing with you.

Installation, freight and what is included

These are new machines and they carry the manufacturer’s warranty. The 7-year / 1,000,000-mile extended warranty on qualifying remanufactured drivetrain units does not apply to shop equipment.

We ship by freight, so you need a delivery point that a freight truck can reach and a way to unload. Payment is by bank transfer or check.
