What fits what

The listings are split by engine family and year. The LMG iron block, VIN O engine is listed for 2010-2014 and its notes say With Variable Valve Timing and Displacement on Demand. The LS4 5.3L V8 is listed for 2007-2009. The L83 engine is listed for 2014-2019 with engine VIN code C, and its notes read WITH DOD, WITH VVT and L83 Models Only. The direct injection L84 5.3L is listed for 2019-2023 Chevy and GMC Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe, Yukon and Suburban. The fifth listing is a 5.3 LS Hot Rod Swap engine, which carries no year or vehicle in its data at all, so call before you buy that one.

How to identify yours

Casting numbers are the reliable check. The LMG lists block casting 12576177, head castings 799, 12564243 and 243, crank casting 12552216 +SINGLE DISK, and casting location REAR END OF BLOCK. The LS4 lists block casting 12569004 and head castings 243 and 799. The L83 lists block casting 12620287 with right and left head cast number 12620214. Vendor SKUs are DCT20 for the LMG, DCX5 for the LS4 and DCT21 for the L83. Since two of these engines are DOD and VVT engines and the L84 is direct injection, match the family as well as the displacement.

Remanufactured units carry a 6-month limited warranty. A 7-year / 1,000,000-mile extended warranty and a core fee waiver are available on request for qualifying remanufactured units, must be arranged at the time of purchase, and are not automatic.
