This category lists nine remanufactured 3.7L engines. Five are Ford and Lincoln units, three are Acura J-series and one is the Nissan and Infiniti VQ37VHR. Displacement alone will not pick your engine here. Match the vehicle and the engine code.

What fits what

The Ford and Lincoln listings are the Lincoln Duratec 3.7L V6 for 2009, the Ford Lincoln 3.7L V6 for 2012-2015, the 2010-2012 Lincoln MKT and MKS, the 2013-2016 Ford Explorer, Taurus and Lincoln MKT and MKS, and the 2016-2019 Ford Transit Van 150/250/350.

The Acura listings are the 2009-2014 Acura TL and RL J37A4, the 2009-2010 Acura RL J37A2 and the 2010-2013 Acura ZDX J37A5. The remaining listing is the 2008-2016 Nissan 370Z and Infiniti QX50, QX70, Q40, Q50, Q60, Q70, M37, EX37 and FX37 VQ37VHR.

How to identify yours

On the Acura and Nissan units the engine code is printed in the title and it is the identifier that matters: J37A4, J37A2, J37A5 and VQ37VHR. Read the code off your own engine rather than working from the model year.

Two of the Ford and Lincoln listings carry fuller data. The 2009 Lincoln Duratec unit, vendor SKU DFMA1, is listed with block casting 9A5E-6015-AA and the note “Single Bolt Mount Oil Filter Adpater”. It is recorded as a 6 cylinder V block, DOHC, 24 valves, head gaskets included. The 2012-2015 Ford Lincoln unit, vendor SKU DFM22, is listed With Single Sump Oil Pan #DG1E-6675-EA/EB, DG494AA and DF592AA, also 6 cylinder V block, DOHC, 24 valves, head gaskets included.

The other three Ford and Lincoln listings carry no casting numbers in our data. Match those on year and vehicle, and call if you need a casting confirmed.

These are remanufactured exchange units and a refundable core charge may apply. No core amount is published, so call for it at the time of purchase. A 6-month limited warranty is standard. A 7-year / 1,000,000-mile extended warranty and a core fee waiver are available on request for qualifying remanufactured units, must be arranged at the time of purchase, and are not automatic.
