What fits what

The Toyota 2TRFE 2.7L L4 is listed in two build windows, 9/04-11/14 and 11/14-8/15. A separate listing covers the 2017 Toyota Tacoma 2TR-FE 2.7L. Older Toyota coverage is the 3RZF-E 2.7L L4 for 8/99-9/04. The Chrysler Dodge EER 2.7L V6 is listed for 2009-2010 and also appears under Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep. The Ford unit is listed for the 2015-17 Ford F-150 2.7L. If your truck sits on or near one of those date boundaries, call before ordering. The 9/04 and 11/14 dates are where the Toyota listings change.

How to identify yours

The Toyota fours are all DOHC, 16 valve, inline blocks. The 9/04-11/14 2TRFE is vendor SKU 862 with block casting 2TR, gasoline. The 11/14-8/15 2TRFE is vendor SKU 862A and is noted as VVT on Intake, which is the practical difference between the two. The 3RZF-E is vendor SKU 849C with block casting 3RZ, and its casting location is given as DRIVER SIDE #1, so that is where to look on the block. The Chrysler Dodge EER V6 is DOHC, 24 valve, vendor SKU DDF12, block casting 4663611 and head casting 4892064AA. Match the casting number and, on the Toyota engines, the build date on your door tag.

Core charge and warranty

These are exchange units and a refundable core charge may apply. No core amount is published, so call for it at the time you order. Remanufactured drivetrain units carry a 6-month limited warranty. A 7-year / 1,000,000-mile extended warranty and a core fee waiver are available on request for qualifying remanufactured units, must be arranged at the time of purchase, and are not automatic.
