S40

The S40 page sits under Transmissions and Manual, and holds one unit: the S40 Remanufactured Manual Trans for 1996-2000 Honda Civic.

How to identify yours

This is the S40 5 speed. The listing identifies the application by an 8 in the 6th digit of the VIN, and states it is except VTEC-E. Read your VIN before ordering. If the sixth digit is not an 8, or your car is a VTEC-E, this is not your unit; call 216-250-6666 and we will check.

Core charge and warranty

Remanufactured units carry a 6-month limited warranty as standard. A 7-year / 1,000,000-mile extended warranty and a core fee waiver are available on request for qualifying remanufactured units; both must be arranged at the time of purchase and neither is automatic. These are exchange units, so a refundable core charge may apply. Call 216-250-6666 or email sales@varietyengines.com, or read the remanufacturing process and the warranty page.
