What fits what

The main application is 2007-2014 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator. That case is offered two ways: vendor SKU RTC4417F-1, electric shift with the shift motor not included, and a second listing that includes a new shift motor. A further listing covers 2012-14 Ford F-150 and Expedition with a shift motor, and one more is listed for 2008-2014 Lincoln and Ford as a manual shift unit, vendor SKU RTC4417F-2. That manual listing carries the model number BW1356 in its data even though the title says BW4417, so confirm it with us before ordering.

How to identify yours

The 2007-2014 Expedition and Navigator units are 31 spline input with a slip yoke style rear output shaft, Torque On Demand, electric shift, and no speedo or speed sensor holes. Note that one of those two listings describes the rear output as 32 spline in one line and 31 spline in another; that inconsistency is in the source data, so call and we will confirm the unit in stock. Both carry Hollander number 412-250, other number UMT431-1, and tag numbers 7L14-BK, 7L14-BL, 7L14-BM, 8L14-AA, 8L14-CA, 8L14-CB, 8L14-CC, AL14-CA, AL14-CB and AL14-CC. The manual shift unit is identified by a shift lever pressed onto the shift shaft rather than held on with a nut, a bolt on U-joint style rear output yoke and a brown 8 tooth speedo gear on the mainshaft, with tags E8TA-BA, E8TA-E, E9TA-PA and E9TA-RA, Hollander number 412-205A and other number UMT411-1.

Core charge and warranty

These are exchange units and a refundable core charge may apply. No amount is published, so call for it. A 6-month limited warranty is standard on remanufactured drivetrain units. A 7-year / 1,000,000-mile extended warranty and a core fee waiver are available on request for qualifying remanufactured units, must be arranged at the time of purchase, and are not automatic.
