Coolant Exchangers

Coolant exchangers are shop machines for draining, filling and flushing cooling systems. This category lists seven new machines from three makers: Flo-Dynamics, Mahle and Robinair. They sit under Shop Equipment. The titles tell you the method each machine uses, so pick by the service you actually perform rather than by price.

How to choose

The split in this category is between vacuum fill machines and drain and fill machines. On the Flo-Dynamics side, the C-VAC3 is described as a drain and fill plus inline flush coolant service machine. The VacFill3 and the VacFill3+ are both vacuum and fill coolant service machines, with the VacFill3+ the higher priced of the two.

On the Mahle side, the FluidPRO line is listed by tube count. The FluidPRO VCX-4 is a four tube vacuum coolant exchanger and the FluidPRO VCX-1 is a two tube vacuum coolant exchanger, so the choice there is how many jobs you want to run at once. The FluidPRO MCX-2HD is listed as a multi-coolant exchanger. From Robinair, the 75700 CoolTech coolant exchanger rounds out the category.

Installation, freight and what is included

These are new machines and they carry the manufacturer’s warranty. The 7-year / 1,000,000-mile extended warranty offered on qualifying remanufactured drivetrain units does not apply to shop equipment. What ships in the crate is set by the manufacturer for each model, so ask before you buy if a particular adapter set or hose kit matters to your work.
