Recaro is a seat manufacturer, and on this site the Recaro archive is exactly that: brand-new performance and road seats. It contains no engines, drivetrain units or shop equipment. Every listing here is a new seat bought as new stock, not used, not reupholstered and not refurbished.

What is stocked

The range covers reclining road seats, including the Sportster CS with a heated version and the Sportster GT; the Cross Sportster CS for off-road and overland use, also available with heating; the SR-6 and SR-7 sport seats in Glass Mesh and Kamui trims and a choice of colors; and the Classic Pole Position (ABE) fixed-back shell in black leather with Pepita, Classic Corduroy and Classic Checkered fabric options. Trim and color form part of the product title, and heated and unheated versions of the same seat are separate listings, so read the title carefully before ordering.

Fitting a Recaro seat

Recaro seats are not bolt-in replacements. Each one needs a vehicle-specific base frame or subframe plus side mounts or a slider, and none of that is included with the seat. Confirm the mounting hardware for your exact make, model and year before ordering, because this is the most common reason a seat arrives and cannot be fitted. Check that the seat suits you as well as the car, since shoulder and hip width differ noticeably between the Sportster, SR and Pole Position families. Check headroom, particularly if you wear a helmet, and check how your car’s side airbag, seat-belt reminder and occupancy sensor wiring will be handled. Fixed-back shells do not recline or fold forward, which affects rear-seat access in a two-door.

Ordering, shipping and warranty

Seats are priced and listed individually, so order two if you are replacing a pair. Harnesses, belts, mounts and frames are separate items. Seats ship boxed by courier or freight depending on quantity, so inspect for damage before signing. A 6-month limited warranty applies as standard, and the extended warranty offered on qualifying remanufactured drivetrain units does not apply to seats.
