Buick

Buick here means remanufactured engines and one remanufactured transmission. Five units are listed: four engines and one transaxle. Most of them are also listed under GM. Two of the engine listings cover more than Buick vehicles, so read the full title before you order.

What we stock

The oldest listing is a 3.1L V6 for 2004-2005. Its data gives engine VIN code J, block castings 093, 737, 089, 227 and 150, head casting 234, crank castings 981 and 268, and casting location driver side of block. The important notes on that unit read Block Cast #227, 150 and 253. It is listed as a 6 cylinder V block, OHV, 12 valves, gasoline.

The three newer engines are listed by year and vehicle rather than by casting. There is a 2.0L for 2010-2016 Buick Regal and Verano. There is a 3.9L listed for 2008-2010 Buick Lucerne and Pontiac G6, and a 3.6L listed for 2007 Buick Allure, Lacrosse and Pontiac G6. Those last two are the listings that also name a Pontiac application, so this brand page is not Buick vehicles only.

The one transmission is a remanufactured 2018 Buick Enclave transmission and transaxle. No further application detail is published on that unit, so call before ordering it.

Buying and support

On the 3.1L, match the casting numbers on your own block and heads before you buy. On the three engines listed only by year and vehicle, confirm the application with us rather than assuming that a year and displacement is enough. Remanufactured drivetrain units carry a 6-month limited warranty. A 7-year / 1,000,000-mile extended warranty and a core fee waiver are available on request for qualifying remanufactured units, must be arranged at the time of purchase, and are not automatic. These are exchange units, so a refundable core charge may apply; no core amount is published. See the remanufacturing process and the warranty page. Payment is by bank transfer or check.
