Garage Cabinets

Garage cabinet systems turn a bare wall into organized, closed storage. The range here covers Ulti-MATE Garage 2.0 wall cabinets, tall cabinets, base cabinets and workstations, sold as coordinated multi-piece sets from five pieces up to eighteen and nineteen-piece sets, plus Proslat slatwall panels and accessory packages and Gladiator storage. Finishes include black, grey, red, silver and white metallic. These are new cabinet systems for home garages, workshops and light commercial spaces.

How to choose

Measure the wall run first, then the ceiling. Sets are sold by piece count, and the total assembled width has to fit the wall you have while leaving room for doors, windows, panels and the garage door track. Tall cabinets need floor depth as well as width, so check that a cabinet’s depth still leaves you room to open a car door in the bay. Decide how much of the run should be wall-hung and how much floor-standing: wall cabinets keep the floor clear for sweeping and for a lift, while base cabinets and workstations give you a working surface. If you want a work surface, choose a set that includes a workstation rather than adding one later, because the sets are dimensioned to sit together. Slatwall is the complementary system, taking hooks, baskets and hangers for the tools you want visible and reachable, and it works well filling the wall above base cabinets. Check weight ratings against what you plan to store, and confirm that your wall construction will take the fixings for wall-hung units, since masonry, stud and steel-frame walls all need different anchors.

Delivery, assembly and what is included

Cabinet sets ship by freight on pallets and arrive flat-packed in multiple cartons, so check the piece count and inspect for damage before signing. Assembly is buyer-arranged and is a straightforward but time-consuming job. Wall-hung cabinets should be mounted into structure rather than into drywall alone, and supplied fixings are generic, so buy anchors suited to your wall. Cabinets are new equipment and carry a 6-month limited warranty as standard. The extended warranty offered on qualifying remanufactured drivetrain units does not apply to cabinets.
