Volkswagen here means remanufactured engines for the Jetta, Golf, Beetle, Rabbit and Passat, plus one remanufactured manual transmission. Seven units are listed: six engines split between 2.0L and 2.5L, and a six speed manual for the Jetta and Golf. The engine listings are organised by year range and by the vehicles named in each title, so start there.

What we stock

In 2.0L there are four engines. The oldest is listed for 1993-1995 Volkswagen Jetta and Golf. There is a 2009-2010 Volkswagen Jetta diesel and a 2011-2015 Volkswagen Jetta. The fourth is listed as a Volkswagen BEV 2.0L L4 remanufactured engine for 2003-2005, vendor SKU 924PG, and it is the only engine in this brand with full attributes recorded: fuel type gasoline, four cylinders, block type L, SOHC heads and 8 valves.

In 2.5L there are two five cylinder engines. One is listed for 2005-2011 Volkswagen Jetta, Golf, Beetle and Rabbit. The other is listed for 2011-2014 Volkswagen Jetta, Golf, Beetle and Passat. Both are also filed under VW in the engine tree.

The one gearbox is a remanufactured manual transmission for VW Jetta and Golf, 6SPD, listed as an 02Q transmission with tag ID KRM, LHD and NFP. It sits under Manual transmissions.

Buying and support

Displacement and year range are not enough on their own with these engines. The 2009-2010 listing is the diesel; the others in 2.0L are listed without a fuel type, so confirm yours before ordering. On the manual transmission, match the 02Q designation and the KRM tag ID to what is on your unit. If a detail is not printed on the listing, we will check it rather than guess.

These are remanufactured exchange units, so a refundable core charge may apply. No amount is published, so call for it. A 6-month limited warranty is standard. A 7-year / 1,000,000-mile extended warranty and a core fee waiver are available on request for qualifying remanufactured units, must be arranged at the time of purchase, and are not automatic.
