Two different year ranges appear against this 3.9L: the title says 2008-2010 while the fitment data on file says 2009-2010. Ask which one applies to your vehicle instead of assuming the earlier year is included. Both heads are recorded with the same pair of castings, 12590746 and 12624610, so either number may turn out to be the one on your engine. Vehicles named are the Buick Lucerne and the Pontiac G6, though the fitment line records the make as Chevrolet, which matches neither and should be resolved before ordering.

  • Deep Clean – To start the remanufacturing process, every engine is fully disassembled and hot tanked (cast iron) or thermally cleaned (aluminum)
  • Inspection – Magnaflux testing uses magnetic particles to inspect metal, checking for microscopic cracks and fissures that will cause long-term failure. All parts are visually inspected as well.
  • Machining and New Parts – Deck surfaces are CNC machined and new parts are added. New parts include bearings, pistons, rings, lifters, oil pump, gaskets, Viton™ valve seals, freeze plugs, galley plugs and either a new timing chain (with new tensioners) or a new timing belt (with new tensioner). If an engine has a timing-driven water pump, a new pump is installed.
  • SIM Testing – Each engine is SIM tested after reassembly, with the cooling and oil systems being fully pressurized and the crank being spun at high RPM to verify compression and build quality.

Every engine carries a 6-month limited warranty as standard. A 7-year / 1,000,000-mile extended warranty and a core-fee waiver are available on request for qualifying remanufactured units — ask us before you order and we will confirm eligibility.
